Umm Suqeim Beach (Sunset Beach) is an attractive, bustling sandy expanse known for its stunning views of the Burj Al Arab due to its proximity. This beach provides shade from the heat, changing rooms and shower facilities, wifi and plenty of lifeguards. It is very popular with Jumeirah residents and Western expatriates. It is a free public beach open 24 hours a day. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes surrounding it as well as some barbeque areas, so we recommend bringing your snacks and drinks to have a little picnic or family-style barbeque. The beach gets crowded during the weekends, so it is best visited early in the morning.

The beach is 10 miles (16 kilometres) from the downtown area and easily accessible by car or public transport. The nearest metro station is First Gulf Bank on the Red Line.
