1. Access Instagram’s website: Go to the Instagram website using a web browser on your computer or mobile device. You cannot delete your account through the Instagram app.
2. Log in to your account: Sign in to the Instagram account that you want to delete. Make sure you have access to the account you wish to delete, as you won’t be able to recover it after deletion.
3. Go to the “Delete Your Account” page: Once you’re logged in, go to the “Delete Your Account” page. You can find this page by clicking on the profile icon in the top-right corner and selecting “Settings” from the drop-down menu. On the settings page, scroll down and click on “Help Center.” In the Help Center, search for “delete account” and select the relevant article titled “Delete Your Account.”
4. Select “How do I delete my account?”: On the “Delete Your Account” page, locate the question “How do I delete my account?” and click on it. This will expand the answer and provide a link to the account deletion page.
5. Click on the deletion link: After expanding the answer, click on the provided link that says “go to this page.” This will take you to the “Delete Your Account” page.
6. Choose a reason and re-enter your password: On the account deletion page, you will be asked to select a reason for deleting your account from the drop-down menu. Choose the appropriate reason or select “Something else.” Then, re-enter your Instagram password in the field provided.
7. Permanently delete your account: Once you’ve entered your password and selected a reason, you can proceed with deleting your account by clicking on the “Permanently delete my account” button. This action is irreversible, so make sure you have backed up any important data before deleting your account.

• Click Accounts Centre, then click Personal details.
• Click Account ownership and control, then click Deactivation or deletion.
