Sathi Osha is a traditional Odia festival that honors the folk goddess Sasthi. It is celebrated on the sixth day of the sukla paksha of the Bhadrab month.

Worship
Sasthi Mata is worshipped on the sixth day of each lunar month in the Hindu calendar, and also on the sixth day Goddess is prayed for betterment and long life of the children.
Rituals
During Sathi Osha, mothers and their families make small statues of Sasthi Mata using clay or turmeric. They also prepare six types of flowers, six tree branches, six fruits, six types of vegetable leaves, a meal with six fried items, and a curry with nine vegetables.
History
The tradition of Sathi Osha spread far and wide, and is said to have originated from the Jagannath Temple in Puri odisha, where mothers from all over Odisha would come to pray for their children’s welfare
