The iconic Bali Yatra Festival in Cuttack, Odisha, has been extended by one more day, following an overwhelming response from visitors. Originally slated to conclude on November 23, the Odisha government has announced that the festival will now run until November 24, marking the end of its 9-day celebration.
The extension decision was taken at the directive of Chief Minister, recognizing the public’s enthusiasm and the festival’s success in drawing massive crowds. Bali Yatra, which commemorates Odisha’s rich maritime history and its ancient trade links with Southeast Asia, started on Kartika Purnima, November 15.
This year, the festival has seen record footfalls due to its cultural programs, thrilling rides, food stalls, and modern attractions like laser shows and innovative exhibits. The extended schedule gives visitors another day to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of this historical celebration.
