Age Criteria (as on 01 January 2027)
Flying Branch
Age Limit: 20 to 24 years
Born between: 02 January 2003 to 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive)
Commercial Pilot Licence Holders (DGCA): Upper age limit relaxable up to 26 years
Born between: 02 January 2001 to 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive)
Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical)
Age Limit: 20 to 26 years
Born between: 02 January 2001 to 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive)

AFCAT 1 2026 Exam Pattern
The AFCAT exam includes 100 objective-type questions carrying a total of 300 marks. The exam is conducted online and covers General Awareness, English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning with Military Aptitude. Since the exam carries negative marking, accuracy plays a crucial role along with speed.
