India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 – Schedule II
India Post has released notification No. 17-12/2026-GDS on August 27, 2026 for 23,757 posts across India. This includes:
- Branch Postmaster (BPM)
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)
- Dak Sevak
This is the biggest 10th-pass central govt recruitment with No Written Exam.
Important Dates – for you right now:
- OTR Registration: August 31 onwards
- Apply Online: September 2 to September 21, 2026 (upto 5 PM)
- Correction Window: September 23-24, 2026- it’s open today

Eligibility:
- Education: 10th pass from recognized board with Maths and English
- Age: 18 to 40 years (relaxation: SC/ST 5 yrs, OBC 3 yrs)
- Language: Must know local language of the Circle you apply for. For Odisha circle, you need Odia.
- Other: Basic computer knowledge, cycling knowledge
Salary / TRCA:
- BPM: Rs. 12,000 – Rs. 29,380
- ABPM / Dak Sevak: Rs. 10,000 – Rs. 24,470
Selection Process:
100% merit based. No exam. System-generated merit list based on Class 10 marks. Higher marks = higher chance. Then document verification.
How to Apply:
- Go to indiapostgdsonline.gov.in -> Registration
- Do One-Time Registration with your 10th details
- Pay fee: Rs.100 (No fee for Female/SC/ST/PwD/Transwomen)
- Choose ONE circle (like Odisha) and fill post preferences
