Conversation School Gardener
GOPAL MEETS THE SCHOOL GARDENER

One day, Gopal reaches school before anyone else. He decides to sait the school garden. The gardener, Ramu Koka, is bury watering the plants. Ramu Kaka sees Gopal approaching and stops his work.
The two engage in conversation, as follows
Gopal : You seem to come to work very early. When did you start working?
Ramu : I usually get up at 4 am and start work at 5 a.m.
Gopal : That is good. You really love to look after the
Ramu : garden, don’t you? I do. These plants are like my own children.
Gopal : What was the first thing you did today?
Ramu : I watered the plants, and then trimmed the hedge around the lawn.
Gopal: How do you keep the garden looking so neat?
Ramu: I pick up dry leaves and other articles lying on the grass
Gopal : How often do you mow the grass?
Ramu: I mow the grass every fortnight.
Gopal: What is it that makes the garden look so beautiful?
Ramu: Flowers, trimmed hedges and well-mowed lawris!
Gopal: Anything else?
Ramu: Yes, the regular plantation of flower plants is very important. I plant them well in time, every season. I also have a small nursery where I grow seedlings.
Gopal : What do you expect of the children? Do you have any message for them?
Ramu : They should not pluck flowers. They should help keep the garden clean, and not throw rubbish here and there.
