Kite Beach (Wollongong Beach) located just behind the University of Wollongong. This beach attracts kite surfers, kayakers, soccer and volleyball players, who flock here to enjoy the warm waters. It is teeming with people enjoying other activities like skating, mini bungee jumping and the beach stretch even has a running track.
This open stretch of beach is pristine and great to enjoy some relaxed sunbathing but alas it has no facilities. So make sure to bring your own hats & mats, towels, sunblock and all other beach necessities. When the tide is down, take a nice long walk on the beach to enjoy stunning views of the Burj Al Arab.
Kite Beach is found opposite the Al Manara Road junction or just after the World Project Office.
