Mahamrityunjaya Mantra Lyrics
Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, also known as the Rudra Mantra or the Tryambakam Mantra, is one of the most powerful and ancient Sanskrit chants.
The mantra is a request for spiritual “ripeness.” Just as a melon effortlessly detaches from its vine when it is fully ripe, the chanter asks to be freed from the cycle of birth and death (and the fear of it) once they have matured spiritually, moving toward the “nectar” of immortality.
Note: Traditionally, it is recommended to chant this mantra 108 times using a Rudraksha mala to deepen the meditative state and focus.
