Aim of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyala
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. It is an autonomous body. It works under MHRD, Government Of India. Jawahar Navodaya Schools are co-educational residential schools. Education in these schools is free of cost.
Boarding, Lodging, books, and uniforms all things are freely provided in these schools. These schools have been opened mainly to provide a good education for rural students. The schools are established to serve some specific aims.
These aims are:-
To provide good quality modern education
To inculcate values
To give awareness of the environment
Eligibility
Only candidates from the same district are eligible. The same district means where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya was opened.
The candidate must be studying in the 5th class of the Govt. or Govt Aided school.
The candidate must be from 9 to 13 years of age
The candidate must be a student of class 5th before 30th September
There will not be a second chance to appear in the JNV selection test.
