The Siddheswar College was established in the year 1980 as a leading College in North Balasore and was recognized and approved by the Government of Odisha Vide letter No.13507/EYS, Dt.17-03-1981 and No. 48633/EYS,Dt. 20-11-1981 with the affiliation to both Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha and Utkal University Bhubaneswar vide letter No.20611-A-9757, Dt. 31-03-1982.. Subsequently the college was affiliated to Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Odisha. The College is also accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore with C+ + grade with effect from 2006. The territorial jurisdiction of the institute covers the bordering areas of both Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts of Northern part of Odisha with a sizable number of inhabitants belonging to the scheduled tribes. There are +2 , Degree and Vocational wings of the institute catering to the demand of higher education in the area.
