1. OAVS Regular Recruitment 2026 – 764 Posts
OAVS has released a short notice on its official website oav.edu.in for recruitment to Principal, PGT, TGT, Art, PET, Computer Teacher posts. Detailed notification will be available in June 2026.
Vacancy break-up (as per short notice): Total 764 vacancies
- Principal (Group-A): 105
- PGT: 101 posts total
- English 8, Physics 19, Chemistry 21, Biology 9, Maths 30, Computer Science 14
- TGT: 321 posts total
- TGT English 140, Odia 17, Maths 63, Science 36, Social Studies 65
- Art Teacher: 87
- PET (Physical Education Teacher): 80
- Computer Teacher: 70
Important dates:
- Starting of online application: June 2026 (to be announced)
- Last date, Admit Card, Exam Date: To be announced
Eligibility:
- Age: Principal 32-50 years, Other posts 21-38 years. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST/SEBC/PwD as per govt norms.
- Education:
- TGT: 4-year integrated degree with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC) OR Graduation in concerned subject with 50% + B.Ed / B.A B.Ed from NCTE recognised institute
- PGT: Master’s degree in relevant subject + B.Ed
- Principal: Master’s + B.Ed with experience
- PET: Degree in Physical Education, Art Teacher: Degree in Fine Arts
Selection Process:
Computer Based Test (CBT) 200 marks (70% weightage) + Interview 40 marks (30% weightage). For some posts like PET/Art, Performance Test also.
Exam Pattern: Part-1 Odia & English, Part-2 Reasoning + Current Affairs, Part-3 Subject Content & Methodology.
Salary:
- Principal: Rs. 67,700/- Level-13
- PGT: Rs. 47,600/- Level-11
- TGT / Art / Computer Teacher: Rs. 44,900/- Level-10
Application Fee:
- SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 1250/- for Principal, Rs. 1000/- for others
- Others: Rs. 2000/- for Principal, Rs. 1500/- for others

2. District-level Contractual Recruitment 2026-27
Alongside the state drive, individual OAVs are hiring contractually for this academic session. These are offline and district specific:
- OAV Angul: 100+ PGT/TGT contractual posts
- Sundargarh / Rourkela: 90 Teacher posts (PGT & TGT) – last date 12th March 2026, Qualification Post Graduation + B.Ed / Graduation + B.Ed + OTET-II / CTET-II
- Nayagarh: TGT Hindi walk-in interview 28.09.2026
- Ganjam: Hostel Staff – Warden, Cook etc. Last date 1st Oct 2026
- Jajpur / OMAV Kaliapani: Empanelment of Part-time Contractual Teachers for all OAVs
