Odisha,Panikia refers to the traditional multiplication tables used by students to master basic arithmetic. Historically, these were chanted aloud in schools (Chatasalis) to build mental math speed.
The structure is a bit different from the standard “1 times 1 is 1” format used in English. In Odia, the rhythm follows a specific pattern: “Eke eke eke, eke duni dui…”
