The iPhone 18 Pro Max isn’t official yet, but since we are in mid-July 2026, it’s right around the corner – leaks are everywhere.

Apple is reportedly changing its launch strategy this year. The big guns – iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the first-ever foldable iPhone – are expected in September 2026, while the base iPhone 18, Air 2 and 18e would come in Spring 2027.

Most trackers point to September 9-15, 2026 for India and global launch, which is why some sites are saying it’s just 2 months away.

Design & Display

Same 6.9-inch OLED size as 17 Pro Max, but with a smaller Dynamic Island. Apple may finally move Face ID under the display.
New color rumored: Dark Cherry / Burgundy.
Performance

A20 Pro chip built on 2nm – first 2nm iPhone chip.
12GB LPDDR6 RAM upgraded for on-device Apple Intelligence workloads.
Apple C2 modem in most markets, US models may still use Qualcomm Snapdragon X80 for mmWave.
Bigger battery and AI-powered Siri revamp also expected.
Camera – biggest upgrade

Triple 48MP system: 48MP main + 48MP periscope telephoto + 48MP ultrawide.
Main sensor said to be new Sony IMX905 with variable aperture – first ever mechanical adjustable aperture on iPhone, rumored f/1.6 to f/4.0, which gives real control over depth of field and exposure.
Price in India
Leaks are split because of a possible price hike. Two numbers are floating:

Around Rs 1,49,900 starting
Around Rs 1,54,900 if the hike happens
For Kolkata / India, expect second week of September availability if Apple sticks to its usual pattern.
