Vidya Sambal Yojana Eligibility How to Apply

Vidhya / Vidya Sambal Yojana is the flagship Guest Faculty Scheme of the Government of Rajasthan.

It was started in the budget of 2021-22 to deal with shortage of teachers in government institutions. Under it, vacant teaching posts in government schools, colleges, polytechnics and technical institutions are filled by appointing qualified teachers on a purely temporary honorarium basis.

What it does

  • Fills vacant sanctioned posts in govt. colleges/schools till regular recruitment happens
  • Appointment is purely temporary – not a permanent job
  • Covers all levels – primary, secondary, higher secondary and college level

For 2026-27 Session (Latest)

The Directorate of College Education, Rajasthan is running the scheme for academic session 2026-27:

  • Post: Guest Faculty (Assistant Professor level)
  • Application Mode: Offline at the concerned college
  • Fee: Free for all categories

Important Dates 2026:
First round: 15 June 2026 to 20 June 2026, Second advertisement: 22 July 2026 with last date 27 July 2026

Eligibility

For Colleges:

  • Minimum age 21 years
  • Post Graduation in concerned subject with NET / SLET / SET or Ph.D. is required
  • Ph.D. holders and candidates with teaching experience get preference
  • Bonafide residents of Rajasthan get preference

For Schools (as per scheme guidelines):
Primary: D.El.Ed. or B.Ed., Secondary: PG + B.Ed., College: PG as per UGC norms

Selection – No Exam

There is no written exam or interview. Selection is based on a 100-point merit system:

  • Graduation score – 21 points
  • Post Graduation – 25 points
  • M.Phil / Ph.D. – 25 points
  • NET / SET / SLET – 10 points
  • Research publications – 6 points
  • Teaching / post-doctoral experience – 10 points
  • Awards – 3 points

Honorarium

  • ₹800 per hour, maximum 14 hours per week
  • Payment is made directly to bank account after completion of every 50-lecture block

How to Apply

  1. Visit hte.rajasthan.gov.in or the website of the concerned govt. college
  2. Download application form and affidavit format
  3. Fill personal, academic, research details and attach self-attested copies – 10th, 12th, Graduation, PG, NET/SET, Ph.D., caste, domicile, Aadhaar, experience certificates
  4. Submit to the office of the Principal of the concerned college in person or by registered post before last date
